Paper Fun

When I was a kid the extent of my origami talent was making the Fortune Teller and Sail Boat, both of which I’ve forgotten.  I even checked out books, but as much I’d like to defend the old school, I’ve come to learn that YouTube tutorials trump sketch tutorials.  Something prompted me to look up origami, and I decided to give it a try.

It all started with a lotus, except that I just realized the instructions weren’t as good as they could have been.  Anyways…

Then I saw a thing online about a Japanese legend that says someone who makes 1000 cranes will have their wish answered.  How funny are superstitions?  I only made 1.  Sorry Japan.

Then an idea struck and I decided it would be a lot cooler to make a heart for Japan. ❤
